It's time for the 14th annual Science Share, and we're looking for parent coaches from Lincoln and Boston!
Science Share is a much-loved annual event at Smith School where parent volunteers coach small teams of kids to investigate a scientific topic of interest. Teams then share their new knowledge at the Science Share Showcase on Tuesday, April 7, from 630 - 730pm in the Smith gym.
Are you (or your child) interested in science, technology, or engineering? Please consider coaching a team! No experience or prior scientific knowledge is necessary -- much of the fun of Science Share is learning along with the kids!
As a coach, you 1) choose your topic to investigate, 2) meet with a small group of interested kids 3-5 times to explore the topic, 3) help the kids prepare an exhibit or demonstration to share at the showcase. You can choose the number of students and grade level. Feel free to team up with another parent!
You can volunteer to be a coach here: 2020 Science Share Coaches' Sign Up Form
Sign up by December 13!
